As A Bain & Company report highlights – that manufacturing exports from India are anticipated to surpass $1 trillion by FY28. The industries like chemicals, pharmaceuticals, electronics, automobiles, industrial machinery, and textiles are expected to play a significant role in this export growth.

To take advantage of the manufacturing export opportunities, the Indian enterprises need a clear export strategy, necessary execution skills, appropriate alliances to facilitate exports, and optimal capital expenditure (CapEx) efficiency to expand the manufacturing capacity.

India is on the cusp of becoming a global manufacturing power center. The challenge is sustaining the growth momentum.

The Sustainable Growth Strategies program aims to enable Indian entrepreneurs to scale up fast and become Global players.

Main challenges faced by Indian SMEs:
  • Many management team members and stakeholders are unaware of the best management practices, international norms, and concepts like value creation using business, operating, and financial models. Such knowledge is essential to formalize an implementable growth strategy plan
  • Most of the currently deployed methods and operating practices are evolved organically over a period of time and are not suitable, tested, or proven to enable scalability and growth objectives
  • Lack of well-formulated, well-defined Growth Strategy and supporting business model to implement the strategy
  • To become an internationally competitive player, the SMEs in India need to re-imagine their strategy, implement value-creating business and operating models, and adopt digital transformation.
The Babson College and KenAcademy programs are designed to help SMEs handle & overcome the above challenges.

Course Structure:

Six-week Hybrid Online Program
Twelve (12) – One and half hours (90 minutes) live & in-person sessions
and Two (2) – Full day in-person sessions on Innovation

Two to three sessions per week. Group learning, case studies, group activities, and networking.

The program includes live webinars led by faculty and online sessions you will complete individually. Program materials include individual assignments, group work, discussion boards, optional office hours, and readings.

Dr. Ottley has been a full-time faculty member at Babson since 2008. He teaches core marketing courses and multiple electives at both the undergraduate and MBA levels, in multiple formats (full-time, part-time, and blended). He has developed and delivered numerous executive education programs, both prior to joining Babson and as a member of the Marketing faculty. A Fulbright International Exchange Scholar, Gary worked in marketing consulting for 12 years before coming to Babson. He managed large marketing projects and oversaw the implementation of strategic marketing and pricing initiatives for large Fortune 500 companies and smaller entrepreneurial ventures. Gary's research interests include socially-conscious marketing, the role of marketing in addressing societal issues, and marketing education pedagogy.

John Hallal has a track record of success in entrepreneurship, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and in operating and advising emerging growth companies. Through his company, Network Blue, John advises middle market companies in various forms of M&A transactions. As an Adjunct Professor at Babson College F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, John teaches M&A for Entrepreneurs, serves as a Mentor in Babson's Launch Pad, and more.
